What is Slidect?
Slidect is a free web app that turns your phone into a presentation remote. You upload a PDF, share a 6-digit code or QR code, and control your slides, laser pointer, timer and audience Q&A from your phone.
Is Slidect free?
Yes. Slidect is free to use with no signup and no app to install. It runs directly in your browser.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Slidect works in any modern web browser on your phone and computer. There is nothing to download or install.
Which file formats does Slidect support?
You upload a PDF of your presentation. Export from PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides to PDF and Slidect turns it into controllable slides.
How does the audience join?
Participants join with a 6-digit session code or by scanning a QR code — no account needed.
Can the audience react or ask questions?
Yes. The audience can send live emoji reactions and submit questions that others can upvote, so you can address the most popular ones.
What tools does the presenter get?
Slide navigation, a virtual laser pointer, zoom, a synchronized timer, blackout mode, a grid overview of all slides, and speaker notes.
How long does a session last, and what about my data?
Sessions and their data (slides, questions, reactions, notes) are deleted automatically after the session ends or after a period of inactivity. Slidect uses no tracking cookies.
