How to control a PowerPoint presentation from your phone
You don't need a physical clicker to run your slides. With Slidect you turn any phone into a presentation remote in under a minute — free, in your browser, no app to install. Here's how.
What you need
- Your presentation exported as a PDF (from PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides)
- A computer to display the slides (the screen your audience sees)
- Your phone, to control everything remotely
Step 1 — Export your slides to PDF
In PowerPoint: File → Save As (or Export) → choose PDF. In Keynote: File → Export To → PDF. In Google Slides: File → Download → PDF document.
Slidect turns each PDF page into a slide you can control.
Step 2 — Create a session and upload your PDF
Open Slidect, create a session and upload your PDF. Your slides are ready in seconds. You get a 6-digit code and a QR code to connect your devices.
Step 3 — Connect your phone
On your phone, join the session with the 6-digit code or by scanning the QR code. No account, no download. Your phone becomes the remote.
Step 4 — Control your presentation
- Move between slides (next, previous, jump to any slide)
- Point with a virtual laser pointer and zoom in on details
- Keep pace with a synchronized timer
- Use blackout mode to bring attention back to you
- See live audience reactions and questions
